Welcome to the Prayers for Persy website archive. In November 2021, young Persy Burnette faced the diagnosis of stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma at just two years old. Over the course of the following 18 months, Persy displayed courage, kindness, wisdom, and intelligence throughout his challenging journey. After a brave fight, Persy left this world to be with our Lord on September 23, 2023.

The unwavering support of our community of friends and family proved to be a lifeline during this trying period. Their support encompassed a range of forms, from heartfelt prayers and emotional encouragement to invaluable financial assistance. Gestures like providing meals, thoughtful gifts, uplifting words, and their presence bolstered our family during this incredibly challenging time, and for this, our gratitude knows no bounds.

The weekly, and at times daily, prayer meetings became a source of immense comfort and strength for us. We continue to convene periodically, finding solace in these gatherings.
